Drizzle App Reviews
Cant open the application
Not able to open the app after giving all the permission. App looks nice, but no use.
Buggy
Buggy. Sometimes works. Sometimes doesn’t. When it works and you switch from Fahrenheit to Celcius, the 7-day forecast stays in Fahrenheit.
This app would not even start, it just kept telling me that it needed permission to access my location. When I said “OK”, it would just put the same message up over and over again and never actually run. Completely useless.
something not right
appears there was a problem
Consistent font anamolies .. [squished together .. cut off .. trainling off the border] rendering it unreadable depending on the text. Preferences are not saved thru a restart. Three email [contact us-web form] requests have gone unanswered. Do not recommend, regardless of being free.
not so good...
Error in weather 10 degrees C!!!
It’s not you or your Mac. I, too, have it constanly asking permission for my location. I can’t find any System Preferences in my Mac that allows or denies location. Why can’t I set it manually if it can’t find it automatically? I really wanted this app to work. How did this disfunctional app get past the Apple inspectors?
As others have observed, even after giving Drizzle permission to use location services it fails to start up, claiming it needs access to location services. This happens on El Capitan, at least. Also, relying on location services as the only way to specify a location is unreliable. Many large corporate networks route all traffic through coroporate proxies located who-knows-where. Location services on my work machine, for example, thinks I’m in Broomfield Colorado, which is only 3/4th of a continent away from where I actually am. It’s a shame - based on the feature and the weather display I really wanted to like Drizzle. But if I can’t even start it, or I can’t tell it what my real location is, I guess I’ll never know.
